Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 24 April 2026
This is the short version of what you can't do with Pharos. It's part of our Terms of Service. If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account.
Don't use Pharos to:
Target individuals. Pharos is for monitoring brands, companies, topics, and categories — not for tracking, surveilling, or profiling specific people.
Break the law. Don't use Pharos for anything illegal where you live, where we operate, or where your data is processed. This includes harassment, discrimination, fraud, and intellectual-property infringement.
Infringe on others. Don't submit content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, trade secrets, privacy, or publicity rights. Don't misrepresent a brand you don't have a legitimate reason to monitor.
Attack our systems. Don't probe for vulnerabilities, scan our infrastructure, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other customers. If you find a security issue, we'd love to hear about it — email support@heypharos.com and we'll respond quickly.
Overload the service. Don't send traffic designed to degrade performance for others. Don't run automated bulk actions beyond the rate limits we set.
Resell or scrape. Don't white-label Pharos, resell access to your account, or scrape the product to build or train a competing service.
Abuse the AI platforms we query. When Pharos sends prompts on your behalf, those prompts count against the acceptable-use policies of the underlying AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity). Don't ask Pharos to submit prompts designed to jailbreak, deceive, or extract harmful content from them.
Hide or impersonate. Don't use fake identities, misrepresent your organization, or evade a suspension by creating a new account.
Use Pharos data in ways that harm people. The insights Pharos produces should not be used to dox, harass, or discriminate against individuals or protected groups.
If something goes wrong
Report abuse to support@heypharos.com and we'll investigate. We take these reports seriously.
Our response
If we believe an account is violating this policy, we may:
- Ask you to stop and fix the problem.
- Suspend the account temporarily while we investigate.
- Close the account and delete associated content.
- Cooperate with law enforcement if required.
We'll try to give notice and a chance to explain, except where an immediate action is needed to protect the service or others.
